Glass Multimedia Screening
January 18th 2019 sees the release of Glass. The 3rd film in a very unexpected superhero movie series by M. Night Shyamalan. Fortunately for those with the right contacts there is a Glass Multimedia Screening in London on the 16th. That’s right, I’m going to see the film a couple days early. Would you like to join me? After speaking to people there are still many who missed these films and consequently have no idea of what is going on. Therefore I’m going to break it down. Pay attention. I’m covering 18 years in a few sentences.
Back in 2000 we got ‘Unbreakable’ starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson. A realistic tale of a real superhero, released long before the current Superhero renaissance. The film was left open with us wondering what our new found hero and villain would get up to.(Mini Spoiler Alert) 16 years later we were given ‘Split’ starring James McAvoy. The key to this was nobody knew it was connected to Unbreakable. The film was pitched as being about a man with 23 distinct personalities and his psychotic episodes. It wasn’t until the very end of the film we realised it was connected to Unbreakable. Even then some didn’t get it. 16yrs is a long time! And in that moment they alluded to a 3rd film. Glass!
