The Lodge – Bafta Q&A
Here’s an exciting one for the Nigel Clarke blog. At the weekend Bafta screened 2 episodes of Disney’s brand new musical teen drama The Lodge. The show is based on an Israeli series called North Star. The star of the show is a young girl called Skye who moves from the city with her dad. Due to a fortunate turn of events, she ends up managing her Grandfather’s Hotel, The North Star. Here she makes lots of friends and a few enemies while trying to save the hotel from closure.
After the screening I hosted a Q&A session with 4 of actors from The Lodge. Sophie Simnett who plays Skye, Luke Newton who plays Ben, Jayden Revri who plays Noah and Jade Alleyne who plays Kaylee. They gave us a great insight into how the show is made and the fun they had while making it. With all the major Disney territories scheduled to screen the show this is set to be another successful musical drama for the genre’s experts. The Lodge premieres on Disney Channel UK on Friday 23rd September.
