Top Secret

In the summer of 2104 presenter Nigel Clarke finally received a call about a top secret job he was to go on. Consequently NDA’s were signed, phones were taken away, and he was driven to a film studios on the outskirts of London. Little did he know this was because he was being taken to the closed set of 2015’s most anticipated film Star Wars Episode VII : The Force Awakens. It seems like its been years in the making. And the worldwide hype and excitement over this movie has reached a fever pitch.

Once in a Lifetime Opportunity

Nigel was one of the few press members in the world who got a Star Wars The Force Awakens Access All Areas pass. This meant he was lucky enough to see how this epic film was being made. Not only that, he also did things most people only dream of.  He actually rode on the flight deck and in the cockpit of the legendary Millennium Falcon. While sitting opposite to non other than Chewbacca himself. After that all hell broke loose. Consequently he Rode in the cock pit of an X-Wing, hung out with R2D2 and incredible new droid BB-8. He met some of the films new characters, and finally, interviewed its stars Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. Both of whom were very forthcoming and comfortable with Nigel. Probably two of the best days a television presenter could have.

A series of short form programs were made for Disney Channel UK and can be seen below.

To be called upon to do a high profile job like this, shows the calibre of Nigel’s presenting skill. Often the links need to be shot very quickly in a high pressure situation. There is little or no room for mistakes. As you can see he was more than up to the task.
