Ben 10 Challenge – A New Game Show
In the summer of 2017 Cartoon Network UK commissioned a brand new show called Ben 10 Challenge. A game show based around the hit TV show Ben 10, with Nigel as the host. Filming took place just outside Madrid, Spain. And several territories from the EMEA used the set to make their own versions of the show. Due to time restrictions all 10 episodes were filmed in 5 days with the UK finishing in the quickest time. This was due in no small part to Nigel and the UK Turner team’s professionalism.
How did the show work?
The show saw 2 teams go head to head in 3 rounds, with the winning team going on to face The Omnisphere. Each team consisted of 2 children and 1 Adult and the possible prize for the winners being a Flat screen TV, an Xbox One (with Ben 10 game), a Tablet, and a range of Ben 10 goodies. As you can see from the videos below the set was amazing with a giant interactive video wall and huge physical games that were changed for each episode. It was a dream experience for Ben 10 fans and their family and friends.
When and where was the show screened?
Ben 10 Challenge was shown exclusively on Cartoon Network UK at the end of 2017, with half of the series being screened earlier than expected due to good public response. Since then the show has been picked up by CITV and is due to be shown later in 2018. The team still have their fingers crossed for a second series but that will depend on how well the show does in 2018. If it happens you’ll be the first to know about it.
